Under the Radar

Back in April of 2008, The US Senate Committee on Small Business held hearings on the so called "underground economy."

Then I read with some amazement that they mentioned "independent contractors as being part of the underground economy.

Our very own MA Senator, John Kerry, is the Chair of this Committee. A few years back this group, working with IRS and the DOJ focused great attention and noise on "independent contractors" in the Multi Level Marketing Industry.

Over the years, if not decades, Realtors have also been the focus of many in Washington D.C. relative to the "independent contractor" status.

I'm of the opinion that we'll problem see more about this in the coming months.
