Bank Branches in Dunkin Donuts?

Yes, coming soon to your local "Dunkin Donuts" a bank branch right next to the donut display. Face it: banks and those poor financial institutions these days need to cut costs to have more loot for executive bonuses.

I don't know how this will sit with most local zoning officials but again in this mad, upside-down world of commercial real estate make-believe, anything goes.

I guess the olden days of single use real estate are over. Let's squeeze many diverse business operations into one site and really create a land use and traffic nightmare.

The hell with the local citizens! Who gives a bleep about consumers, taxpayers and average citizen?

It's all about cutting costs, grabbing bonuses, milking taxpayers for federal bailout funds while protecting the shareholders of the banks.

But look at the bright side; Those banking and financial governmental regulators who went underground allowing the financial meltdown can now get a coffee while performing a bank audit. Feel better???

Probably coming soon Starbucks will have in-house hairdressers, and McDonald's can have dry cleaners or Laundromats.

Next time I'm Dunkin Donut drive-thru I shall order "a medium hot regular and a "glazed" low-cal mortgage loan application."

But this does all fit with the term " Fat Cat Banker."
