Memo to Rookie Agent,a postscript!
P.S.
In every changing real estate market, "opportunity knocks" for those who are able to adjust and adapt to the rapidly evolving market and financial environment.
For those wide awake the knocking will be very loud and clear!
No matter what the real estate market conditions homes will always sell! The overall volume may be down but property will convey. Focus on obtaining your market share.
One of the "keys" to take best advantage of changing conditions is to "differentiate" yourself from the run of the mill real estate agent crowd.
Focus on a specific property product, became an expert in a specific field or geographic, and become more and more real estate proficient and professional.
Begin to think smarter in all levels of real estate. Study and learn how best to qualify both buyers and sellers.
Work on building sound relationships with conventional lenders. Jump on the Internet and learn all you can about FHA and VA loans. ( There are two FHA types loan guarantee programs, and one, often overlooked, is the Farmers Home Administration for some rural properties.
This is the time to build and polish your basic skills. Take a course about the mastery of the Internet; invest in yourself by taking a public speaking or sales course.
Become active in local clubs and organizations. Consider joining a municipal board or commission. Volunteer for the sake of volunteering. Become, or develop, a social
responsibility awareness.
Get basic to basics. Have fun, learn, earn and enjoy because real estate is truly a great business and better profession.
